USDA: Blueberry Research Voting Results

<p>The USDA&rsquo;s Agricultural Marketing Service has announced the result of a referendum it conducted between July 5 and July 26 in order to determine whether to continue the Blueberry Promotion Research and Information Order. The organization held a vote amongst highbush blueberry producers and importers and the program was passed with the majority in support, both in terms of votes and volume. Eighty-eight percent of eligible voters were in support, representing 98 percent of the volume of blueberries produced or imported by those voting, support continuing the program.
