<p> Veggies Inc. has recently finishing expanding its facilities to continually improve the company’s products and services for its customers in 2014 and beyond.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Under the leadership of CEO Mike Vohland, the company has expanded its facility square footage by 75%, increasing its dock doors from 8 to 13, and added a ramp for expanded cross-docking services. The company’s Primus certified warehouse has the ability to control 3 different temperature zones and offers the capacity for up to 20 semi-trailers to be parked and waiting for loading or unloading, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Marco A. Barreda, Vice President, says that with the added facilities Veggies Inc. will be able to continually improve its products and services and they can now service an even greater audience. “Our production alone already operates year round and as the seasons transfer, we are also able to handle products from not just Mexico, but also different regions such as California, Texas, and Arkansas providing quality produce to customers year-round.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Along with the expanded facilities, Veggies Inc. purchased new USDA certified lines, two of which will be used for private labeling and conditioning perishables, while the other two will be used for overwrap processing and production needs. The company has also made some changes to its personnel, adding two more accounting staff members and warehouse personnel.
