BAKERSFIELD, CA - California grape growers are moving through late August on steady footing, with the market holding firm across the San Joaquin Valley and Kern District and organic fruit maintaining premium levels.
According to the USDA National FOB Review for August 25, 2026, demand was moderate, and the market was about steady. Autumn Royal grapes in 19-pound containers, bagged and sized large to extra large, ranged from $24.95–$28.95, with most movement reported between $26.95 and $28.95 and occasional higher pricing.
Red seedless grapes ranged from $20.95–$25.95, with most trading between $20.95 and $23.95. Some varieties reached $26.95–$30.95, providing a stronger upper end to the conventional market.
White seedless grapes were reported at $22.95–$26.95, with most movement between $22.95 and $24.95. Supplies of Ivory and Summer Royal grapes remained in too few hands to establish a market.
Organic grapes stood out at the higher end of the market. Both organic red seedless and white seedless grapes ranged from $26.95–$30.95, with most movement between $28.95 and $30.95 and occasional higher pricing.
With the market maintaining stability and organic fruit holding its premium, California’s late-summer grape season continues to provide encouraging positioning across several segments of the category.
