California Table Grape Commission Hires Fabian Garcia While Expanding Rachel Scott's and Jeff Klitz's Roles

<p>The California Table Grape Commission is hiring Fabian Garcia as its new Assistant Director of International Marketing. In addition, the responsibilities of Rachel Scott and Jeff Klitz have been expanded in the areas of digital media/community service and marketing communications, respectively, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Fabian Garcia has studied international relations at American University in Washington, DC. He is also a frequent traveler to East Asia. He speaks Spanish and Mandarin, and spent several years living in Shanghai, China, where he was a Market Researcher for the USDA Agricultural Trade Office. Garcia's new role with the California Table Grape Commission will involve assisting in the development and implementation of the Commission's international promotions, especially those in China.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Rachel Scott is the Digital Media and Community Service Manager, and has been with the Commission for five years so far. She holds a double-major bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University in both organizational communications and Spanish. Before her work with the Commission, she spent two years in Japan teaching English. Her expanded responsibilities with the Commission include content development and management of the Grapes from California website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. She will also have a greater role in managing community service programs, including scholarships, grants, and donations.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Jeff Klitz is the Assistant Director of Marketing Communications, and has also been with the Commission for five years. A San Joaquin Valley native, Jeff grew up in Fresno and holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural business from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo.
