The regions began to heat up over the weekend and will continue into the early part of this week. Maximum temperatures on Saturday were said to have reached between 92 to 103 degrees. Warming is predicted to continue into Tuesday presenting temperatures that are 6-13 degrees above seasonal averages topping out at 98 to 107 degree conditions, according to Terry Snow's Weather Service.

The desert growing region of Coachella has already had 4 days of over 100 degree temperatures that occurred about 2 weeks ago during the end of April.

Growers tell AndNowUKnow that so far there has been minimal heat damage on a variety of vegetables in the area that include corn, watermelon, and all three colors of pepper. But the heat has done quite a lot to accelerate the crop. As the Spring was much warmer than normal, many items came on 5-7 days early.
