WATSONVILLE, CA - A well-known leader in the fresh produce industry is migrating to a new role and company. Recently, Driscoll’s announced that Daniel Mathieson will join its team as President of the Americas, using his executive expertise to guide the supplier’s largest business unit.

Currently, Mathieson serves as Chief Executive Officer of Zespri™, which has experienced significant growth during his seven years in the position, a release stated. Over the 21 years with the company, he implemented a demand-led strategy with a focus on consumer insights, distributor and retailer partnerships, and marketing excellence, which has helped the company continue to grow in volume and value.
Additionally, Mathieson sharpened the focus on accelerating the innovation pipeline, sustainability outcomes, and digital platforms, growing the Zespri brand and culture, which is focused on finding great people and supporting them to deliver outstanding results. Prior to becoming CEO, he held positions in operations, sales, marketing, and business development across Zespri based in Asia and Europe.
Now, he will use his expertise to oversee all aspects of the Driscoll’s enterprise, from strategic planning to financial success.

In the upcoming months, Mathieson will transition from his CEO role at Zespri and will relocate with his family to the United States from Singapore.
