CORAL GABLES, FL – After stepping into his role on the Board of Directors in August of 1996, Fresh Del Monte Produce’ Hani El-Naffy is moving into a new role: retiree. El-Naffy informed the company of his intentions to retire from the Board after his current term is up on May 2nd of this year. The departure was decided on good terms for both parties as El-Naffy enters this new stage, the company reported in a recent press release.
El-Naffy worked for Fresh Del Monte Produce for about 20 years. Prior to his current station on the Board of Directors, he held the positions of President and COO, according to South Florida Business Journal.
"Hani’s day-to-day leadership will be missed, but we are glad that the company will benefit from his participation in the transition process and his plan to continue to serve as a board member," said Mohammad Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and CEO, upon El-Naffy’s departure from his tenure as President and CEO at the company.
