Fresh Produce Association of the Americas (FPAA) will be hosting its 54th Southwest International Produce Expo (SWIPE) event November 2–4, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona, and industry members are invited to the breathtaking Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Enjoy scenic views, catch up with industry friends, and play for a worthy cause as SunFed® and GrubMarket’s WholesaleWare are the title sponsors for the SunFed/WholesaleWare SWIPE Desert Classic.

This year, SunFed and WholesaleWare are helping raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County. The SWIPE Desert Classic will be held on the picturesque Ventana Resort Canyon course, players will have a chance to support a good cause while enjoying a friendly competition. How can you get involved? Why, by being a sponsor!

Craig Slate, President and Chief Executive Officer, SunFed®“The produce companies of southern Arizona have been huge supporters of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz County for many years,” commented Craig Slate, President and Chief Executive Officer of SunFed. “This is a fantastic opportunity to help some wonderful kids needing support and direction. One way to help the cause is to be a sponsor for the SWIPE Desert Classic. It provides great company exposure with foodservice and retail buyers while supporting a terrific organization.”

Held on November 4, the Desert Classic tournament will be the closing event and will provide golfers a chance to play on one of Arizona’s top golf courses and Ventana’s legendary number 3 on the Mountain course. This hole is said to be the most photographed hole west of the Mississippi.

Participants can join in on the fun through two formats: a competitive two-person best ball with a top prize of $750 a person and a networking four-person format with the top players taking home $250 each. The lucrative event will have cash and prizes totaling $6,000. Tournament size will be limited to 124 players, so everyone should register early and not risk missing out.

Last but not least, there will be multiple opportunities for everyone to network, have some laughs, and soak in the beautiful weather and scenery of the Tucson foothills.
