Grower Direct Marketing is announcing that it has begun shipments of MonsterCots apricots, an early variety with exceptional size and color.
The MonsterCot series produces a high-color, red and orange skin with rich deep apricot flavors, according to a press release.
"Grower-shippers across the state have seen an earlier season on most crops," said Jim Hanson, Managing Director of Grower Direct. "This year we are glad to see that we have a nice crop of MonsterCots that are here just a few days early for retailers to enjoy. Last year, these apricots moved at a record pace. This season, MonsterCots are becoming a centerpiece of promotion to kick off the fresh California fruit season."
OG Packing in Stockton, CA has been developing these apricots for years to ensure that they meed rigid testing standards. These standards are self-imposed and ensure that only the highest quality fruit is delivered to customers.
I can't wait to try this season's MonsterCots; they look great.
