KINGSVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA - What’s new?! As a trade news writer, I find myself asking our industry this question quite often—and Red Sun Farms™ is ready to answer it at the Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Innovations. To find out more, I tapped in with Harold Paivarinta, Senior Director of Sales.
“Southern Innovations is of key importance to Red Sun Farms,” shares Harold. “We look forward to reconnecting, building new relationships, and showcasing the developments and technologies that our team has been diligently crafting.”
As attendees make their way around the show floor, Red Sun Farms will be inviting industry members to put a focus on its latest developments. A visit to booth #512 will yield in-depth discussions about new product innovations, progress regarding disease-resistant varieties, and greenhouse technology and innovation. As the grower shares, disease resistance within tomato varieties will be a focal topic at this year’s show, particularly regarding the potential market influence for the upcoming season.
Furthermore, Red Sun Farms is harnessing the moment to introduce its latest variety innovation: TATAYOYO®. TATAYOYO® is a delightful orange sweet mini pepper that captivates consumers with its distinct aromatics and exceptional flavor profile.
Red Sun Farms continues to invest in innovation, technology, and expansion to meet its customer demands. One example of this is the provider’s recent acquisition of additional property for future expansion.
“Increased production capacity of tomato varietals was the largest driver for this acquisition,” Harold notes. “It’s a little early to share our plans in detail, but growth in at least two tomato categories is earmarked for that acreage. Our commitment to innovation, technology, and sustainability keeps us at the forefront of the industry, ready to meet the evolving needs of our partners and consumers.”
Red Sun Farms will be nurturing industry relationships new and old during the highly anticipated Southern Innovations event, so be sure to stop by booth #512.
