<p>Houweling's recently broke ground on its future greenhouse site in <B>Mona, Utah</b>.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Casey Houweling was joined by Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox, representatives from Rocky Mountain Power, and other interested parties for the <B>official groundbreaking</b> at Houweling's Tomatoes' future site, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img width="500px" class="small-cropped-image" src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacySmallCroppedImages/houwelling.jpg" alt="Houweling's Breaks Ground on Utah Site" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Over 100 people were in attendance for the ceremonial first shovels. Lt. Governor Cox expressed his excitement over the <B>positive impact</b> that the project will have in rural Utah. The new greenhouse is bringing <B>jobs</b> and <B>economic development</b>, as well as an advanced partnership to utilize wasted heat and CO2 for growing tomatoes sustainably without negative impacts to efficiency.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Houweling's <B>28.3 acre greenhouse farm</b> is being built this year, and Houweling's will have locally grown tomatoes available in late 2014 with nearly all of the production planned for sale within a 500 mile radius.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">By partnering with Rocky Mountain Power, a supply of traditionally wasted <b>heat and CO2</b> will allow for <b>year-round growing</b>. The patented Ultra Clima semi-closed greenhouse design gives the ability to optimize conditions effectively and efficiently, even during times of extreme variations in climate.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img width="500px class="small-cropped-image" src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacySmallCroppedImages/houwelling2.jpg" alt="Houweling's Breaks Ground on Utah Site" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The project is expected to bring around <b>280 new full time jobs</b> to Juab County.
