LE GRAND, CA - When the plate arrives, the first thing my eyes go to is the produce. Recognizing the importance of fresh, high-quality, flavorful fruits and veggies in the kitchen, foodservice operators will soon flock to this year’s International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) Foodservice Conference. At the J. Marchini Farms booth, attendees will find a comprehensive portfolio of year-round items, including radicchio, treviso, castelfrano, fennel, fresh figs, and Italian specialties.
“California fresh fig season has just started and will last for a couple months, making lots of excitement surrounding the start of the season,” shares Marissa Marchini, Sales and Marketing. “The Foodservice Conference is a great time of year to highlight figs—specifically our new fig medley pack, which includes the Green Kadota and Black Mission varieties.”
To highlight the incredible appeal of these offerings, Chef Vinny De Angelo will be cooking up some new specialties at booth #712, inspiring show-goers with a few creative uses for the J. Marchini Farms lineup.
“Chef Vinny De Angelo does a great job of highlighting our products by incorporating flavors from all around the world. Similar to past shows, we want to showcase the unique ways our products can be used to create excitement and innovation. The more we all get creative with fresh fruits and vegetables, the more we all benefit in the produce industry!” Marissa adds. “We’re passionate about the items we grow, and we want to share that with those in the foodservice industry. There are so many creative ways to use our products beyond just salads, and this is a great opportunity to highlight them.”
As always, the Foodservice Conference serves as a vital platform for industry connection and exploration of produce’s role in the foodservice sector.
“The Foodservice Conference is a great event to share innovative ways to prepare a variety of products with chefs and foodservice operators, inspiring their future menu items and offerings,” says Marissa. “It's also a great way to meet potential customers, build relationships with current distributors, and connect with chefs.”
