SureHarvest has built a verification standard called the five P’s- Principles, Processes, Practices, Performance and Progress. Pro*Act Sustainability Coordinater, Kathleen Phillips, and Jeff Dlott, President and CEO of SureHarvest share their thoughts on the new partnership.

Jeff Dlott tells us that the company is very excited about the new partnership because it allows SureHarvest to work one on one with some of the largest grower/shippers that are key suppliers to Pro*Act. One of the unique elements of the Greener Fields Together program is that they can work with larger national farms as well as local farms and that allows for a real marriage between getting the best of the capacity and infrastructure of the larger growers and shippers along with the benefits that local purveyors provide which offers a unique component. Woven into those benefits is the sustainability aspect and that is really where SureHarvest is excited about lending its expertise.

Kathleen Phillips shares that Greener Fields Together is focused on four supply chain areas. Some of the most important work being done is in that seed category when speaking about seed to fork. The partnership with SureHarvest really adds authenticity and credibility to the work that Pro*Act is doing within the national farm component in regards to sustainable agriculture. When considering partners, it was critical that Pro*Act pick someone with not only sustainable agricultural expertise but the respect of the growing community. Ms. Phillips tells us, it was clear from the beginning that Pro*Act had to work with SureHarvest because they are the leader in agrifood business consulting. They understand what is going on at the farm level and also within the basic business model of every grower.
