IMMOKALEE, FL - Lipman Produce is turning heads for more than tomatoes, having just been named winner of D’Latinos and Gulfshore Business magazines’ 2016 Face Awards for the Large Business category.
The award focuses on the culture of the company, recognizing Lipman for celebrating ethnic and racial diversity in Southwest Florida, something that has been apart of the company since its foundation according to Community Relations Director Jaime Weisinger.
“Lipman has embraced diversity since our inception in the 1930s, and we’re honored to be recognized for our commitment to employing people from all over the world,” Weisinger said in a press release. “We’re a company made up of different cultural, educational, and economic backgrounds, and we believe this makes us a stronger organization.”
Not only does the company pride itself on employing a diverse workforce, but Weisinger noted that Lipman’s leadership is open to listening to the unique perspectives of its team. With vastly different viewpoints from different employees with differing backgrounds, this ultimately can help to guide the company’s business decisions, vision, and philosophy.
