Mexican Asparagus Production Expected to Increase

<p>Carlos Alberto Esquer López, the President of the Association of Vegetable Producers of Yaqui and Mayo (APHYM), announced that the Valley of Yaqui will increase its asparagus acreage, according to La Tribuna. He notes that this is in response to a healthy demand for asparagus in export markets like USA, Canada and China.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">López explained that the region has already established asparagus plantings on 2,120 hectares.
