Mexican Berries Planning to Export to China

<p> Mexican berry producers are planning to send their first shipments of berries to China next year following a recent successful export to Japan.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Currently, more than 95% of the production is sold to the United States and Canada, while the rest is channeled to other countries in Europe and now Japan, according to Tribuna de la Bahía.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Mario Andrade, the new president of the National Association of Berry Exporters (Aneberries), says that the goal is to expand their export horizon so they are not focusing on just one target market.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Mario Steta, former president of Aneberries, explained that the full opening of Mexican berries to China is scheduled for the next visit of the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto.
