The city is expecting to be hit with just under 2 feet of snow. All cars and trucks are required to be off Massachusetts roads by 4 p.m. New York is bracing itself for an expected foot of snow set to start falling at 7 p.m. Friday, according to CNN.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/nestoresstormbanner.jpg" alt="images020813" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Boston Mayor Thomas told Bostonians to "use common sense" and "stay off the streets of our city." "Basically, stay home."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Taking his advice, droves of citizens stormed into shops to gather supplies and prepare for the potentially record breaking conditions.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Reading, Massachusetts, resident Elizabeth Frazier stocked up on supplies late Thursday and shoppers were buying up the store. She grabbed the last bottles of water in sight.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">"It's a zoo in there," she said.
