New York Apple Association Welcomes Susan Chekow Lusignan as New Chief Executive Officer; Carrie Wafler Comments

FISHERS, NY - The New York Apple Association (NYAA) is pleased to announce that Susan Chekow Lusignan has been named its next Chief Executive Officer. Drawing on more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Lusignan is well-positioned to advance NYAA’s mission of supporting New York apple growers and promoting the long-term viability of the state’s apple industry.

Throughout her career, Lusignan has built a reputation for disciplined organizational leadership, strategic marketing communications, and cultivating partnerships that deliver measurable results. Her experience navigating funding constraints, managing complex operations, and engaging diverse stakeholder communities reflects the same commitment to structure and accountability that NYAA’s grower members depend on.

Colleagues describe her as a careful and thorough leader who brings strong preparation and clear communication to every stage of her work.
