Peri & Sons Farms has kicked off its California season in Firebaugh with its Spring and Summer onions available through September. Along with its whites, yellows and reds, the company will also be offering its new sweet red onion after receiving great feedback from limited testing of the new onion last year. Although Peri &Sons has planned to produce about 20% more of this new flat, sweet red this year the company expects availability to be tight due to growing demand.

Teri Gibson, Director of Marketing & Customer Relations, tells AndNowUKnow, "We are very excited with the taste-profile of our new Sweet Red onion.
