STATESBORO, GA - What’s worse than losing your favorite supermarket? Hearing consistent rumors of its return without actually seeing the return! For folks in Statesboro, Georgia, the waiting game is over, as beloved Publix returns to set up shop at the intersection of Veteran Memorials Parkway and Register Road.

The announcement came during the groundbreaking for the Tormenta soccer stadium. According to local news source, the Statesboro Herald, the store is projected to be slightly less than 52,000 square feet and includes three outparcels. The 12 acre development will be a key component to the larger 225-acre development surrounding Tormenta FC’s soccer stadium.
