The green asparagus season lasts till the end of December, and ends in January, he commented.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Though Mexico production is slightly delayed this year, Peru’s falling supplies are not indicative of any abnormality. Green asparagus production occurs twice a year in Peru, and next round of production will begin in June.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">White asparagus are produced in the country all year round, and the market is performing well. Next week, volumes will increase again as Easter approaches,, which typically causes the most important sales peak of the year.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Sergio said that he expects higher prices in order to offset increasing costs experienced during the past three years. Cost of employment increased by more than 50%, machine costs rose almost 300%, and water shot up by 30%, which will result in increased prices. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
