BAKERSFIELD, CA - Sun World Innovations, the global licensing and technology arm of Sun World International LLC, announced that it has recently added Brazilian grape company, Argofruta, to its list of licensees worldwide.
“We are pleased to appoint Argofruta to help bolster our presence in the global fruit trade,” stated Garth Swinburn, Sun World’s Vice President of Licensing. “We’re confident that providing further access to our seedless proprietary varieties will allow producers to maximize their revenues while increasing the seedless grape volume in Brazil and the visibility of our varietal brands.”
Argofruta is based in Petrolina, Brazil, and specializes in the production and distribution of table grapes, melons, ginger, limes, mangos, guavas, and passion fruit. As a partner of Total Produce PLC., Argofruta supplies domestic and international markets with a wide range of products year-round, according to a press release. The company noted that this partnership with Sun World will allow Argofruta to expand its seedless grape production and give it access to domestic and international markets. With its newest packhouse built in 2015, Argofruta expects to increase efficiency in production and distribution.
The new licensee joins more than 70 licensed marketers around the world who sell Sun World fruit varieties.
Key Sun World varieties are marketed under various grape varietal brands such as SABLE SEEDLESS®, AUTUMNCRISP®, MIDNIGHT BEAUTY®, ADORA SEEDLESS®, SOPHIA SEEDLESS®, SUPERIOR SEEDLESS®, and SCARLOTTA SEEDLESS®.
