VINELAND, NJ - Doubling down on its commitment to sustainability, Trucco recently announced its new eco-friendly KiwiStar pack. Available for both organic and conventional varieties, the new packaging is made of 100 percent plastic-free and recyclable paperboard. With the consumer in mind, the pack is designed for easy transport and has proper ventilation that also keeps the kiwifruit secure.
The KiwiStar packaging will soon hit retail shelves, a press release noted. Its eye-catching purple box will easily be noticed by consumers, and the message behind it will capture their hearts.
Since the introduction of single-use packaging, an excess of plastic waste has flowed into our oceans. Trucco cited the United Nations in reporting that there will be more plastics in the ocean than fish by 2050. Without a second thought, the company took to changing its packaging and made a major leap forward with its sustainable paperboard packaging.
The packaging is also a part of KiwiStar/Cares®, Trucco’s brand-new charity initiative. Partnering with various organizations, the company is looking to expand upon its passion to care for our earth.
