Reports out of the area have been stating that the fires are affecting crops, but growers in the region tell AndNowUKnow that most of the agriculture is escaping unscathed.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Overnight rains and cooler temperatures have subsided most fears, helping to achieve an 80% containment of the Springs fire. The Ventura County Star, reported that full containment is expected by Tuesday and the fire stopped growing at 28,000 acres. Firefighters are working on putting out flare ups within the fire perimeter.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Rain is expected to continue through the early part of today with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
