The most recent news following that announcement is that AeroFarms will be auctioning key assets out of its vertical farming facility in Newark, New Jersey, as part of the company’s restructuring efforts.

SecondBloom™ Auctions was chosen to manage the auction.

Chris Lange, Chief Executive Officer, SeconfBloomAuctions"We look forward to leveraging our expertise to ensure a smooth transition that maximizes value for AeroFarms' stakeholders," said Chris Lange, Chief Executive Officer of SecondBloomAuctions. "Interested parties can learn more about the auction at www.secondbloomauctions.com."

According to a press release, the online auction will take place from August 28 to September 18. It will include specialized agriculture equipment such as lighting systems, automation technology, racking, and more.

In April 2023, AeroFarms announced it was moving all operations from its Newark facility to the facility in Danville, Virginia. With the transition to Danville now complete, the assets in the Newark facility are available for sale through this auction.

AeroFarms representatives will be onsite during the preview days on September 7-8 to showcase assets and assist potential bidders.

Asset removal must be completed by September 28.
