Dick Boer was named as the new CEO of Ahold in conjunction with the promotion of Carl Schlicker as Chief Operating Officer of Ahold USA. Mr. Boo-er has been involved at the strategic level with the multinational retailer since 2006 and is credited with the economic turnaround of the company's Dutch operations. Mr. Schlicker, who has served as CEO of Ahold USA retail, succeeds Larry Benjamin.
