Ahold USA has named Jan van Dam as Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and E-Commerce. In this new role, Mr. Van Dam will report directly to James McCann, Chief Operating Officer where he will focus on leading a supply chain organization that supports Ahold USA and its four Divisions, Stop & Shop New England, Stop & Shop New York Metro, Giant Landover and Giant Carlisle. He will also be responsible for Ahold USA’s ECommerce business with Peapod President and General Manager Andrew Parkinson reporting to him.
Mr. Van Dam will be transitioning into his new position in April, according to a press release.
The industry veteran's direct reports include Jeff Enright, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Distribution Operations; Walt Lentz, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Replenishment and Forecasting; Mark Tarzwell, Vice President, Supply Chain Projects, Fresh; and Jerry Pimental, Vice President, Supply Chain Projects, NonPerishable. With 17 years of experience at Ahold, van Dam most recently served as President and CEO of Albert/Hypernova, Ahold’s supermarket business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
