His responsibilities in this role focus on leading a merchandising team that supports Ahold USA and its four divisions: Stop & Shop New England, Stop & Shop New York, Giant Landover and Giant Carlisle. He will report directly to COO James McCann.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/Ahold_Body_01.jpg" alt="Images012513" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Most recently, McGowan served as Executive VP of Supply Chain for Ahold USA.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">McGowan started his career with Ahold in 1991 as a management trainee for the Stop & Shop Supermarket Company. He has held positions including Senior VP and General Manager of the Stop and Shop New York Division, Senior Vice President of Sales at Stop & Shop and Senior Vice President of Stop & Shop New England. McGowan became President of the Stop & Shop New England Division in November 2009.
