Aldi USA is Southern California bound. Fresh & Easy Buzz states that they have learned that the grocer has plans to launch its first stores in the region in nine months to a year. Aldi has plans to open approximately 100 stores on the west coast in 2013, during its first two years of operation, according to the publication.
Along with the first stores in Southern California, the company hopes to eventually open its small-format grocery markets throughout California as well as in other nearby western states. Those regions include Nevada and Arizona. At present, Aldi USA is looking for a Buying Director and Buying Manager for the region as part of its plans to open its first stores in Southern California in the next year.
