A&P CEO Sam Martin Departs

<p>Sam Martin has left as CEO of A&amp;P, also called The Great Atlantic &amp; Pacific Tea Company. No reason was given for his departure, and a new CEO has not yet been announced.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">A&amp;P told AndNowUKnow, “Sam Martin has departed as the Company’s CEO. We all thank Sam for his time at A&amp;P and wish him well in his future endeavors. At the appropriate time in the Company’s 2014 planning process, a new chief executive officer will be identified.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Martin has helped the company through some tough times. He began as CEO in July 2010, and in December of that same year, the company declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In March 2013, the company announced it had emerged from bankruptcy and is now a privately held company.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">What will the future hold for A&amp;P?
