SPARTA, MI - Strengthening industry partnerships is exactly what trade shows like Southern Exposure are all about. Companies such as Applewood Fresh have returned from the show with traction under their wheels.
“We took advantage of the high attendance at the show, enriching our personal and professional development through the educational sessions and the Women’s Luncheon,” said Shelby Miller, Marketing and Sales Specialist. “Feedback from customers, consumers, and industry leaders on our apple varieties allows us to shift our strategies and plans for 2024.”
Heather Childs, Sales Manager, also added that the show floor is conducive to the company’s overall strategy.
“In-person conversation allows you to dig deeper into our relationships and develop new long-term partnerships. Applewood Fresh is here to show people the importance of apples on store shelves, emphasizing on managed/branded apple varieties we offer from Michigan and now Washington,” Childs noted.
Applewood Fresh offers a plethora of popular branded varieties such as Kanzi®, EverCrisp®, and Ambrosia, as well as Washington-grown varieties such as Opal and Cosmic Crisp® through FirstFruits Farms, which acquired Applewood in December 2023.
“Together, our collaborative partnership has turned us into a singular source for packing, shipping, growing, and marketing fresh premium and core apple varieties,” Shelby added. “With a multi-regional approach and seasonal expansion, our united team can tailor our complete programs to all of our customers’ needs, making us the perfect fit.”
Growth in current and new customers, suppliers, and partnerships makes Applewood Fresh one to watch.
