“As part of the Sekoya club, we have been able to offer our customers superb blueberries from our farms in Oregon, Peru, and Mexico,” stated Jyoti Bhogal, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Producing them in Chile just makes sense.”

With health-focused goals driving consumers to the blueberry category for their role as a superfood, Chilean blueberries serve an essential role by offering a consistent and reliable supply during the winter months while Mexico is still slowly coming on and domestic product is still three months from entering the market. As the company explained in a press release, Chilean production ensures that retailers can meet consumer preferences and maintain promotable business in the key winter window.

While demand for blueberries continues to remain strong, Agroberries has set its focus on improving its Chilean blueberry offering to better serve the global market. Strategies to achieve this include the retiring of older genetics, opening the door for newer varieties with exceptional flavor and strong quality.

As the supplier continues to uncover the opportunities provided by this growing region, ANUK will be here with the latest updates.
