California Table Grape Commission Offers Scholarships to Students
- by Peggy Packer
FRESNO, CA - It's been said before that one should move on from the past, live in the present, and think about the future, which is exactly what the California Table Grape Commission (CTGC) is doing as it is offering university and college scholarships to the next generation of industry members.
Now available, according to a press release, the scholarships will be presented to students in the table grape growing regions of California. Two types of scholarships will be offered for field workers: one for $25,000 for those attending four-year California universities or colleges, and one for $14,500 for students attending two-year community colleges followed by two years at a California university or college.
Additionally, a third type of scholarship will be presented to those interested in studying agriculture at a California university or college and building a career in the table grape industry. Three of each of these scholarships will be available to applicants.
The deadline for applications to receive one of the scholarships listed is Friday, February 11, 2022, at 5 p.m. PST. For more information and to apply, click here.
Cheers to CTGC for inspiring and aiding future industry leaders in their pursuit of education.
