UNITED STATES - Most of us are not Oprah. We don't have the capability to flat-out buy our own avocado farm, but for National Avocado Day July 31, Chosen Foods is preparing to make one lucky avo-lover feel as rich as the talk show host. According to a release from the company, it launched a giveaway for one person to win an avocado grove in Jalisco, Mexico.
“Avocados are the heart of Chosen Foods’ entire product line, so it was essential to do something meaningful for National Avocado Day," stated Natalie Morse, Vice President of Marketing and Innovation. "By giving away an avocado grove in Mexico, we’re not only making an avocado lover’s dream come true, we’re also spreading the love and excitement for avocados. This a win/win for everyone in the avocado business. In less than 24 hours we received over 10,000 entries—further proof that the avocado obsession is alive and well.”
“Avocados originated in the Motherland of Mexico over 10,000 years ago,” it explained in the statement. “The growing conditions for avocado trees are ideal south of the border, making it the perfect place to start your very own avocado empire.”
