The Costco Wholesale Corporation has reported its June Sales Results. The company has revealed that its net sales were $9.18 billion for the month which represents the five weeks that ended July 1, 2012. The figure shows an increase of six percent from $8.69 billion during the comparable period last year. For the year to date the Company reported that net sales increased ten percent from $73.44 billion in the previous comparable period, to $80.46 billion for the year. Deflation in gasoline prices had a minimal impact on comparable sales for the June sales results. Inflation in gasoline prices had a positive impact for the forty-four week period. Additionally, foreign currencies had a negative impact for both periods. Costco currently operates 605 warehouses with plans to open up to an additional three new warehouses prior to the end of its fiscal year on September 2, 2012.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
