Fifteen Officers Out In Delhaize Restructuring

The restructuring kicked off last month with the replacement of Food Lion President Cathy Green Burns.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The company has internally unveiled a new structure that includes 50 officers, reports the Salisbury Post. Some positions are new, while others were eliminated and a few remain the same.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Christy Phillips-Brown, APR, External Communications Director, Food Lion, told AndNowUKnow, when asked to comment, "Delhaize America announced a new officer structure on Friday, naming 50 officers to positions across its company which is a 25% reduction. As a result, 15 long time and well respected officers will depart the organization." </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The Salisbury Post obtained an internal Delhaize email which communicated that two Food Lion Senior Vice Presidents are among those who lost their positions. T.R. Robinson, Senior Vice President for Merchandising, will be replaced by Karen Fernald.
