Food Lion New Format Offers Ease and Convenience for Customers

<p> Food Lion is celebrating the grand re-opening of its store at 860 Union Street in Concord, N.C. today, now featuring the retailer’s newest format designed to make grocery shopping even easier and more convenient. One of the latest additions to the store is the transformed garden cooler, which keeps fruits and vegetables fresher, longer than ever before.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> “With the new format, our customers have a better selection of products, which helps provide a one-stop shop for all their grocery needs,” said Store Manager Antoine Grant.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Customers will have access to thousands of new product varieties to make shopping easier, including easy “grab &amp; go” foods, “$1 deals,” and an expanded gluten-free section to name a few. In addition, Food Lion has installed new registers with a re-designed bagging system that will allow store associates to bag customers’ cold and frozen items in easy-to-locate blue bags to make unpacking faster at home, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> To kick off the celebration, Food Lion is giving the first 200 shoppers a gift of up to $20 in free groceries starting at 7:00 AM, followed by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:00 AM.
