Fresh & Easy is launching an in-store food drive, giving its customers the opportunity to help struggling families through food donations which will be transferred to food banks in California, Nevada, and Arizona. Bins will be set up at all store locations through Dec. 24th for canned and boxed food donations, along with donations from each Fresh & Easy store. Vicki Escarra, president and CEO of Feeding America stated "We are grateful to Fresh & Easy for launching this food drive in support of our network of food banks, especially at this time of year, when so many people are struggling to feed their families as the winter sets in and the holidays approach.” The food drive was initially encouraged by Fresh & Easy employees who felt that customers appreciate the opportunity to give back. The combination of donations from customers and Fresh & Easy stores will totally over 1 million dollars in a strong effort to help battle hunger this holiday season.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
