Harris Teeter Eyes Expanded Presence in Loudoun County

<p> Harris Teeter is eyeing further expansion in Aldie, VA. The company recently filed a site plan application for a $5.8 million 133,253 square foot commercial center in Loudoun County.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The center is currently planned to include 121,253 square feet of retail and a 12,000 square foot child care center, but the size of the supermarket is still to be determined, according to Washington Business Journal.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The store site will be located at the intersection of Braddock Road and Northstar Boulevard in Aldie. This would mark Loudoun County’s tenth Harris Teeter, with four existing stores to the immediate north.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> According to KLNB Retail, more than 7,000 active residential units are listed within only a few miles of the new site.
