Harris Teeter shoppers raised close to $80,000 dollars to help the communities devastated by May's deadly series of tornadoes. Harris Teeter stores sold $1 dollar and $5 dollar Disaster Relief Fund donation cards last month for the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts in North Carolina. The donations will allow the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, and other assistance to the community. President of Harris Teeter, Fred Morganthall stated “When disaster strikes our customers and associates want to lend their support and make a difference. The Relief Fund will be an easy way for customers to make a donation the next time they are in our stores.” Harris Teeter thanks its generous associates and customers for generosity and hard work in making this campaign a success.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
