Reggie Griffin takes a moment to talk to Sarah Hoxie for a special interview with AndNowUKnow, to reflect on his time with Kroger and what awaits him now. Reggie Griffin retires from his role as corporate vice president of produce and floral merchandising and procurement for the Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. and chairman of the Washington, D.C.-based United Fresh Produce Association. With a 42 year fruitful career under his produce belt, the Kroger associate will be heading to South Carolina to enjoy his much earned time-off.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Mr. Griffin began with the company as a junior in high school. Since his entrance into the company, he has been fortunate enough to have traveled the national and international scene. He credits his success and enjoyment in the business to the opportunities, individuals and his shared experiences within the produce and floral industry. His itinerary for retirement begins with plans to walk on the beach with his wife and dog after he leaves Cincinnati and the possibility of an afternoon golf game to round out the day. Mr. Griffin has enjoyed the many years he has spent in the produce industry and looks forward to devoting time to his wife and family and watching his grandchildren grow.
