As part of her responsibilities, Ms. Lindsay will direct the company's internal sustainability initiatives and will be in charge of the company's Sustainability Leadership Team. She brings a repertoire of experience to her new role, previously creating and leading sustainability initiatives at PetSmart, Inc. and also working in real estate, development, and civil engineering. Ms. Lindsay earned a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, in Michigan. Lynn Marmer, Group Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Kroger, states, "We have made substantial progress in sustainability in the past five years through energy savings, waste reduction, transportation efficiency and by reducing the use of plastic bags." Ms. Marmer, continues, "Suzanne will help us accelerate our progress and identify new opportunities to improve our environmental stewardship.
