Kroger has launched a new program in the Houston area to help out its customers at the pump. The grocer’s new fuel accumulation program will save customers up to $1 per gallon at its fuel centers as reward for their every day grocery, prescription, and gift card purchases. Bill Breetz, president of the Kroger Southwest Division, stated that the program “will help shoppers save tremendously as gas prices continue to rise and the busy summer traveling season nears." For every 100 points earned, shoppers are given a 10 cent discount up to $1 of savings at any of the 68 Kroger Fuel Centers. Customers are able to track their fuel points earned by checking the bottom of their receipt and by looking online using their Kroger Plus card number.
