CINCINNATI, OH - Kroger has added a well-versed veteran to its ranks, naming Patrick Haines as its new Vice President of Fresh Foods Sourcing.
With experience on the buy- and supply-side and throughout the perimeter of the store, the produce professional took to LinkedIn to share his excitement in joining up with what he defined as a high-powered grocery company.
Diving into a team with the corporate commitment of “Fresh for Everyone,” it looks to be a great fit for this new chapter in an already storied industry career.
Haines spent nearly 35 years at Walmart, serving in roles that included fresh bakery buying, merchandise innovations and strategy, merchandise management for fresh produce, and produce sourcing.
Most recently, he served as UNFI’s Vice President of Produce Procurement, sharing affection for the talented and dedicated group of produce industry experts that made up the team.
