Kroger : New executive pushes employee engagement

Kroger's investment in personnel is paying off in a big way, according to Kroger's newly elected senior vice president, Katy Barclay. Speaking at a recent investor conference, Barclay explained how the upswing in sales, profits, productivity and customer loyalty is a direct result of employee engagement. A new set of tools were developed over the last 18 months with the goal of creating an emotional connection to the company along with a desire to see it succeed.
