Kroger Teams up with Arian Foster for Charitable Programs

<p><strong>Houston, TX</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Kroger is teaming up with Houston Texans running back Arian Foster to benefit programs for local families, schools, and communities.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Bill Breetz, President of Kroger Southwest, states, “Arian is a talented athlete who is widely respected and admired here in Houston. With his popularity and influence, we have the opportunity to capture the community’s interest through programs that promote causes we’re equally passionate about such as education advancement and healthy eating and lifestyles.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Foster is lending his support to Kroger’s Stuff the School Bus collection campaign running through August 19th, which encourages shoppers at any Kroger in Texas or Louisiana to donate a pre-packaged school supply kit for $7 or contribute money at the checkstand. This year’s effort is expected to benefit 25,000 kids through KIPP Houston, Fort Blend ISD, Hunble ISD, Pasadena ISD, and Spring ISD.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Foster will serve as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for Kroger and its charitable education programs, according to a press release.
