The multi-million dollar investment will create hundreds of new jobs in many regions throughout the province, while also opening up the possibility to open new stores and renovate existing stores under the Provigo, Maxi, and Maxi & Cie banners.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> In his statement, Trius said that Québec is a beacon of culinary trends and that the company sincerely wishes to meet the evolving expectations and tastes of local customers – a motivating factor behind this investment, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The announcement was made on the eve of the company’s National Kick-off before members of the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie de Québec at the Déjeuner des chefs d’entreprise du Carnaval de Québec. For the first time, the event brought together more than 3,000 Loblaw executives and partners to Québec City this year.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> In 2014, Provigo will mark its 45th anniversary with an accelerated expansion of Loblaw’s new Provigo Le Marché banner.
