Loblaw's Mike Venton

Mike Venton has served as Vice President of National Grocery Procurement for Loblaw since 2004. He was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Fresh Food and Produce Procurement. Mr. Venton joined us on Friday to discuss his new duties, as well as the new direction the Canadian retailer is taking.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Mr. Venton also expanded on the importance of the veteran team he works with in his new role, and what this promotion means to him. In his new role, he owns National Produce Procurement and Total Fresh Food Merchandising and Strategy for Deli, Bakery, HMR, Meat, Seafood, Floral and Produce for the Hard Discount Banners, including Maxi, No-Frills, Super Stores in Ontario and West, as well as Extra Foods West. SVP Sal Baio owns Meat National Procurement and Fresh on the Conventional side.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
