SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Meijer’s newest alliance is providing the grocer with expanded reach just in time for the holiday sales boost. The privately owned grocer has unveiled a partnership with Uber Technologies, through which it will offer on-demand and scheduled grocery delivery to customers across the Midwest.

Christian Freese, Head of Grocery and New Verticals, Uber"Meijer is known for freshness—fresh food, fresh thinking, and a focus on innovation makes them a natural partner for Uber," says Christian Freese, Uber's Head of Grocery and New Verticals across the United States and Canada. "We're thrilled to be bringing their fresh selection to Uber and Uber Eats across much of the country, and to be working together to deliver must-have groceries to America's doorsteps, just in time for the holidays."

Not only does this bolster Meijer’s expanding consumer reach, but the partnership also solidifies Uber Eats' national expansion of grocery selection for consumers across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin, a press release stated.
