<p>Provigo, a grocery retailer and member of the Loblaw group, has launched its Guiding Stars program for consumers according to a press release. The Guiding Stars Program is an impartial nutrition navigation program that uses stars on store shelves to highlight nutritious food choices at a glance. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The program scores foods based on a patented scientific algorithm and a points system, based on vitamins, minerals, fibre, whole grains, omega-3s, saturated fat, trans fat, added sodium and added sugar, giving products a rating from zero to three stars. Three stars being the highest rating an item can receive. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The program is aimed to support Provigo costumers on their journey to living a healthier lifestyle.
